01/07/2021 – Sermon – 2 of 2: Hebrews 13:8 Quote from sermon: “Let me tell you what the answer to that is: the contentedness which comes from knowing that he provides for us, so that we can confidently say, ‘The Lord is my helper; I won’t fear. What can man do to me?’” / Praying Psalm 102
Pray the Psalm 102 that Alistair notes in this sermon. It is sublime!
I will quote from verses 15 through 18: “The nations will fear the name of the Lord, all the Kings of the earth will revere your glory. For the Lord will rebuild Zion and appear in his glory. He will respond to the prayer of the destitute; he will not despise their plea. Let this be written for a future generation;, that a people not yet created may praise the Lord:…”
Intersperse your concerns, your praises in hope (“hope that is seen is not hope”) to Him, in between these verses which are in fact God’s prayer direction to us. There are no words to describe the fulness of His grace, His power , His love…
