Only God can measure hearts. But I submit, our values show up in our actions, not so much our words. So, I have advised brothers to witness to people within the church as if they are future Christians if their walk does not look any different than the current pagan secularists outside the church.
I will close this by noting what William Law posited in his book, “A Serious Call to a Devout and Holy Life”: “If we examine ourselves with honesty we will discover only one reason why we are not as holy as the saints: because we do not wholly want to be.”
