“100:1 – The ‘shout’ (‘make a joyful notice,’ KJV, RSV) was the war cry; the Hebrew verb is the same as that of the shouting of the Israelites at the capture of Jericho (Joshua 6:20). This psalm takes the worshiper into the realm of spiritual warfare.”
