01/24/2020 – Day 122 (say what?) – 2 Samuel ch. 7 //”And too Jimmy! : What’s up with the Sir Isaac Newton quote?”

“I have a fundamental belief in the Bible as the Word of God, written by men who were inspired. I study the Bible daily. (Jimmy: Our 365 day read plan passed down! lol) Opposition to godliness is atheism in profession and idolatry in practice. Atheism is so senseless and odious to mankind that it never had many professors. ” Sir Isaac Newton

Much as with our parents and our grandparents (speaking for Nancy and myself), I am relieved that Newton did not live to see our world today. But, they were not called to fight in our day. We are! But, as I have noted, I think Isaiah, Jeremiah, and Ezekiel , to name just three, could highly relate their day on this earth to our day… No more days for them, they’re now timelessly immersed in unfathomable joy . (E.T. – home!)

btw – I don’t think I am exaggerating much that Newton wrote more about “His truth” than he did about mathematics. But the later was enriched to our benefit by the former. (see Christian worldview: It is all connected with the Triune Godhead – three in one, at the Center of everything…)

2 Samuel 7 – Stay tuned by eod this friday for the link to Alistair Begg’s sermon on livestream this morning, covering “God’s Covenant with David” and “David’s Thanksgiving to God”. Once again, why practice expository preaching within a single chapter in the book of Samuel? Isn’t that the Old Testament? Perhaps the answer lies in our reading today: See 2 Timothy 3:16 – 17 (01/24/17) , another one of my “memory” verses. And once again: It is all connected don’t you know, just as we are in the body of Christ. There you have it…

Soli Deo Gloria! (can’t put it all into words; so, I am just sticking with these three – three in one….)

Your brother in Christ,

Jimmy
