God tells Jeremiah not once but twice: “Do not pray for these people nor offer any plea or petition for them, because I will not listen when they call to me in the time of their distress.” (Jeremiah 11:14 but also read Jeremiah 7:16) Texit! Pray for Texas! But be it America or the Republic of Texas, neither will survive the 2nd coming as will God’s chosen people. But it is still a secondary prayer.
On our monthly group prayers around Texas on the 1st Tuesday of every month, we shall pray as the Holy Spirit leads us! The Holy Spirit calls me to pray often for the remnant body of Christ glorifying his name in Iran. And Nigeria, China, and so many more that could be our mentors, if only we would let their example lead us. Hungary is not being persecuted as these other countries, but they are much like our founding fathers were , they adhere to a government that honors God and supports God’s design for the family, thereby limited government. (even for pagans/ future Christians: “Common Sense” by Thomas Paine)
