02/15/2022 – “Stalingrad Firing Squad Scene” – What would your response be if you were in that firing squad detail?
I suspect in a one on one fellowship , a brother might inquire : “Jimmy, what is your point? How does this relate to us?”
I will be brief and consise, as I have to stay focused on our John bible study completion the next week. I will come back with my answer at the back end. Or you can contact me for a one-on-one. For now I will just preface my answer with this”
From my experience fellowshipping with Virginia Mennonites in their mid-week bible study years ago, I came away with a renewed respect for their pacifist position. They are brothers in Christ, but I am not a pacifist until the Lord directs me accordingly. So I continue to pray!
Well, with regard to this scene and how does it apply to us: Just one example in a deluge of daily examples that point to an evermore evil world, Justin Trudeau can call it what he wants but he has just declared martial law, or an “I am god from this day forward.” Not that shocking really given that his father is the devil. Ditto for the Biden administration and the mire of the D.C. deep state. If we haven’t already, we need to face up to the fact that we are living now in a banana republic. And such a transition brings with it coup and violence on a mass scale that we haven’t even approached yet in our lifetimes, or possibly in our nation’s entire history, including the civil war.
So, regardless of our answer, I think it demands a prayerful vigil with our Lord. I started my vigil over a decade ago for I believe God was showing visions of today. So, let’s set up some comparitive historical scenarios:
- Pacifist response: Gandhi and Martin Luther King that followed. Consider that Gandhi’s perseverent suffering response shook the British Empire , to the point that it was never quite the same since. WIth Martin Luther King, contrast the same resolute pacifist warrior vigil vs. Malcolm X in the same time frame.
- Christian worldview soul searching: See Eric Metaxas’ “Dietrich Bonhoeffer – Pastor , Martyr, Spy”. Dietrich was hung by the Nazis, just two weeks or so before Hitler killed himself, for conspiring to assassinate Hitler. If Dietrich were here today, he would not deny those charges.
- So even if we are not pacifists, do we not have to be situationally aware as to when God calls us for a peaceful response, even in the midst of horrible autocratic and evil tyranny and persecution? Example: Where do the truckers go from here? They can be jailed and their bank accounts confiscated, including their crypto according to Justin, the lttile wimp’s own words. And we see the Biden administration supports him. I’ll submit that assassinating the little devil minion wimp will not solve the problem,like it very well might have with Hitler.
- What about the murder of tens of thousands or hundreds of thousands through Covid misinformation? I realize many would take issue with me on that. The only answer is prayer. Bear in mind, I am not even allowing here for what I submit is a strong possibility that the vax program was/is a pre-planned global genocide program. I am not even allowing for that add-on possibility here. I have not spent much time in building a library of “Covid genocide”, but you can filter or search on “Covid” for the links we put up to support our position.
So, your thoughts?, starting with what would you do in this scene if you were on the German firing squad detail?
Ephesians 6:13: “Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day fo evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand.”
Engage evil, be it like Gandhi or Bonheoffer, for amidst this mess, this is the kingdom of God, and we were born for this to glorify our Lord! Always connected by His grace and through prayer!
