The Music of The Word

In Synagogues all over the world, there is a person called the Cantor. His job is to sing the Scriptures. He spends years learning exactly how the Hebrew Scriptures are to be sung. His entire job is to sing the Word of God. It is not enough just to know the Word of God, he must sing it. That’s true for cantors… and for you. Most Believers think it’s enough to know the Word of God, but the Word of God is so good, so beautiful, and so over-flowing that it has to be sung. In Ephesians, you are commanded to make melody in your heart. For the Word of God, like His Spirit, must flow and overflow in your heart. It has to become the music of your spirit. It doesn’t matter what your voice sounds like. He hears the singing of your heart. Learn the secret the children of Israel have known for thousands of years. Learn the mystery of the cantors. Start singing the Word of God – in the melody of the Spirit.
