03/17/2021 – Day 304 – 2 Chronicles 29 -32 – 2 of 2// “Have you noticed how much praying for revival has been going on of late and how little revival has resulted? I believe the problem is that we have been trying to substitute praying for obeying, and it simply will not work. To pray for revival while ignoring the plain precept laid down in Scripture is to waste a lot of words and get nothing for our trouble. Prayer will become effective when we stop using it as a substitute for obediance.” A.W. Tozer

Believe it nor not , this quote came from a footnote in my Evidence Bible , from the verse 29: 30, 31 where Hezekiah and the leaders call for the people to “sing praise to the Lord” in worship. The point: Worship requires obediance. The comment begins with: “At a Christan event 100,000 believers gathered to pray for revival and worship God. They were dismissed, not with a challenge to share the gospel, but with a challenge to worship the Lord wherever they went. What an unspeakable tragedy! Soldiers were told told to feast in the barracks when they have been enlisted to fight on the the front-lines of the battlefields.

Soli Deo Gloria!
