04/10/2021 – Day 328 / Zechariah 8 -14 – Part 1 of ? : I will be back here after day 365, God willing!
I shared with my brother and youngest daughter my fascination with 14:20: “In that day, “HOLINESS TO THE LORD” shall be engraved on the bells of horses.”, all the moreso after looking up all the verse commentaries of John Gill to the entire concluding section: “The Nations Worship the King” ” But, much as I am exploring a single tree in an amazing endless forest, by the grace of God, I find myself never being far away late in life from the following quote:
“The most important thing you could ever do is to tell others about the sacrifice Jesus made for them. The greatest possible difference you could make with the rest of your life is to help others be in heaven with you.” Ron Hutchcraft
Is it growing over time? You bet, and praise God for that! As I have shared before more than once: Heaven is perfect but this is a window of opportunity that is closing up fast and forever. Why? There will be no witnessing the good news in heaven. No more suffering, noting that here in this world that witness can bring with it suffering and even death (eternal life!) to His glory in a moment’s notice. So in a weak analogy, but the best I can come up with in the moment, let’s play it all out to the final buzzer, for it is truly is our last game of basketball. Do I want to a walk away with even an ounce of energy left in my tank?
Is it a mystery? Again, you bet! But if it weren’t , my god would be too small; this is God, “I AM”, we are talking about! (not “god” created in man’s image) It is a good thing that we have eternity to fully get to know Him , for that is how long it will take us… (truly “unfathomable”)
Ok, I will get back to y’all on Zechariah, including 14:20, before the weekend buzzer. (“For Love of the Game” – Kevin Costner movie lol)
