04/19/2022 – Day 052 – Judges 12 – 16 – The Inheritance of Israel and old dedicated warriors.
My footnote for 13: 14, 15 reads: “We await our inheritance in Christ, ‘an inheritance incorruptible and undefiled and that does not fade away, reserved in heaven for you, who are kept by the power of God through faith for salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.’ (1 Peter 1: 3-5)”
14: 6 – 15 – Section titled : Caleb Inherits Hebron:
Caleb and Joshua were the only two scouting warriors with the faith to encourage the people to fight for the Land that God gave them. And because they did not heed their call, the wandered in the desert for forty years, an entire generation that never saw the promised land. And here we find Caleb at eighty five years old, stronger than ever, declaring that he would drive out the Anakim from their fortifications. He is my mentor for old age. Slow down in retirement? God forbid!
