Also, I think we will be able to draw parallels to the times of the late 1st century church to our times today. As noted in this presentation, John as messenger for God, emphasizes that “friendship with the world”, is enmity against God. We therefore as messengers of the Holy Spirit, are engaged to reach lost souls.
