05/07/2022 – Day 069 – Isaiah 45 – 50 / Prophecy Fulfillment : “It is I” says the Lord.
At the beginning of this week , I was behind on postings as I was on an extended weekend vacation. Today, I am a day ahead but that is ok. This could give you some lead into the reading tomorrow. My post on this reading last cycle was dated 08/01/2020. I encourage y’all to read it as I focused on the Chapter 53 prophecy of God through the hand of Isaiah, of our redemption through the substitutionary atonement of our sins on the cross. Yeshua conquers death on behalf through his death and resurrection on the third day!
The Good Lord speaks to the fulfillment of His prophecies in 52: 6: “Therefore my people will know my name; therefore in that day they will know that it is I who foretold it. Yes, it is I.” This is the second coming of the Lord Jesus Christ!

Compare the prophecy of the renewed and resurrected city of Jerusalem in 54: 11-12 to John’s vision of the Kingdom described in Revelation 21:18. (*A)
*(A) – I am going to be posting some fascinating quotes from “Heaven” by Randy Alcorn, my current outside read. But a fascinating chapter is Chapter 24: “What is the New Jerusalem”. (ISBN reference: 978-0-8423-7942-7) Here is just the opening paragraph to the chpater: “Scripture describes Heaven as both a country (Luke 19:12; Hebrews: 14-16) and a city (Hebrews 12:22; 13:14; Revelation 21:2) Fifteen times in Revelation 21 and 22 the place God and his people will live together is called a city. The repetition of the word and the detailed description of the architecture, walls, streets, and other features of the city suggest that the term city isn’t merely a figure of speech but a literal geographical location. After all, where do we expect physically resurrected people to live if not in a physical environment?”
The Lord loves a humble heart, Isaiah 55: 8-9:
“For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, declares the Lord. As the heavens are higher than the earth.
God is love. God is patient and true to all His promises:
“To me this is like the days of Noah, when I swore that the waters of Noah would never again cover the earth. So now I have sworn not to be angry with you, never to rebuke you again.”
Soli Deo Gloria!
