Living The Miraculous

Wednesday, May 15, 2024

Pele is the Hebrew word for miracle. Some people are skeptical of the miracles of the Bible. In the story of Peter Pan, a boy appears in people’s bedrooms with a tiny winged woman and they just accept it. In real life, you wouldn’t think it was fine, you’d call the police or child services. In the Bible, when a miracle happened or an angel of the Lord appeared, the people to whom the miracle happened didn’t carry on as usual. They fell on their faces, trembled in fear, froze, bowed down, were overcome with joy, or questioned it. They did exactly what a 21st century skeptic would do if confronted with a real miracle. The reality of miracles isn’t Never-Never Land or some lady on strings pretending to be Peter Pan, but real divine intervention into real life. So be strong in your faith, because what’s supernatural isn’t less than natural, but more. It’s super real. If Messiah has saved your life, then it isn’t a usual life but a miraculous one. The miracle is real. Walk in its power and overcome, because you’ve been touched by the living God, not Tinker Bell.

“For the one who wants to love life and to see good days must keep his tongue from evil and his lips from speaking deceit, and he must turn away from evil and do good. He must turn away from evil and do good. He must seek peace and pursue it, because the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous and His ears of the Lord are on the righteous and His ears are open to their request. But the face of the Lord is against those who do evil.” 1 Peter 4: 10-12
