“Lord, my heart is not haughty, Nor my eyes lofty. Neither do I concern myself with great matters, Nor with things too profound for me.” (131:1)
The commentary in my Evidence Study Bible for 131:1 reads:
“Beware of intellectual Christianity. It is easy to become puffed up with a theology that forgets ‘the simplicity that is in Christ’ (2 Corinthians 11:3). The quality of our Christian theology will be evidenced by the depth of our concern for the lost.”
