The Doxology in the final verse 24: “To him who is able to keep you from failing and to present you before his glorious presence without fault and with great joy — to the only God our Savior be glory, majesty, power and authority, through Jesus Christ, our Lord, before all ages, now and forevermore! Amen.”

Matthew Henry comments on verse 20, Praying in the Holy Spirit: “Prayer is the nurse of faith. Our prayers are then most likely to prevail when we pray in the Holy Spirit, under his guidance and influence.”

My Halley’s Bible Handbook introduction to this Book of Jude: “In the New Testament Church there were two Judes: Judas, one of the Twelve Apostles (Luke 6:16, see page 466), and Judas, the brother of Jesus (Matthew 13:55. The later is commonly regarded as the writer of this Epistle.

Ocassion of Writing

“Evidently Jude had been planning to write a more general statement about the Gospel to this group of Churches, when news of the sudden appearance of a Devastating Heresy prompted him to dispatch this stern warning (3,4).

Re: Fallen Angels, verse 6: I found John Gill’s commentary on this verse very edifying and instructive:

Brothers in Christ, and that completes our one year study and read through the Bible. We have now studied and prayed through the Bible – cover to cover, every single verse. But Lord willing , we will do it again soon. And before this week is out, I have a special 365 day commentary for the entire year, call it: “How then shall we live?”

Soli Deo Gloria!; Always connected by His grace and through prayer!

Love,

Your brother in Christ,

Jimmy
