06/08/2025 – “Ezra, Nehemiah and Esther” by J.G. McConville – Commentary Book recommendation
I think I am going to put a pause at day 340 – Psalms 140 – 142 on the 365 read through the Bible plan. I have gotten caught up in Nehemiah, as far as how it seems to have deep implications and applications for our day. I picked up J.G. McConville’s commentary and I’m hooked for now. I would like to share some excerpts from day 339 – Nehemiah – Chapters five through nine, Wednesday’s reading – Day 339, but the book is so rich, I can’t find logical short excerpts. I’ll work something out but in the meantime, I will share with you the amazon link that describes the book:
For those of you reading on pace, our reading for today: 06/08/2024 is day 343, 1 John, Chapters 4-5. If you need an assist with commentary, you can continue to search posts from the prior two cycles. Or, logged on, you can post a questions, thought(s), or reflections to the rest of us for connecting fellowship. It is the beauty of a blog: it is timeless and it is potentially global!
Soli Deo Gloria!
Your brother in Christ,
Jimmy
