We have a previous Alistair sermon on John 17: 20 – 23, titled: “Complete Unity”, dated on 02/18/2022. Alistair noted that this chapter is the longest prayer we have from Jesus in the Bible, broken down between: “Jesus Prays for Himself”; “Jesus Prays for His Disciples”; and, “Jesus Prays for all Believers”.
We also have a post dated 11/07/2022, on Day 253 of our Semikkah7 reading plan, John – Chapters 16 – 18.
Two quotes from this sermon:
“It is one thing to sow the Word of God. It is another thing to mingle it with our prayers and, in praying, to look to God to actually fulfill what he has purposed in his Word.”
“The Christian recognizes that we are being transformed from one degree of glory into another. But we recognize, too, that there is still a day to come when the glory which Christ had with the Father is going to be unveiled before our eyes.”
Soli Deo Gloria!
