The post for our previous cycle on this reading is dated 03/26/2022, with posts from chapter 18, 19 & 22.

Let’s look at 21: 3,4, with commentary following from “The Evidence Bible”:

“Therefore my loins are filled with pain; Pangs have taken hold of me, like the pangs of a woman in labor. I was distressed when I heard it; I was dismayed when I saw it. My heart wavered, fearfulness frightened me; The night for which I longed He turned into fear for me.” Isaiah 21: 3 – 4.

21: 3,4. “We too should be horrified at the fate of the ungodly. Force yourself to consider the horrors of hell, and then let love swallow your fears and motivate you to warn every man, that we may present every man perfect Christ Jesus (see Colossians 1:28). Make sure you open up the Law as Jesus did. Without the Commandments you will have trouble convincing the lost that God is angry at them and that they need a Savior. It is the Law that shows sin in its true light and ‘brings about wrath’ (see Romans 4:15). Study Romans 7 for how the Law brought about wrath in Paul’s life.”

And what a coincidence, today’s reading, Day #028, happens to be Romans, chapters 7 & 8!

Soli Deo Gloria!
