07/04/2020 – Day 034 Isaiah 23 – 28

Blessings to y’all’s family on this July 4th Holiday. Prayers of thanksgiving and for our men in blue.

33:22 has a short story reflecting a memory of my youth around 40 years ago. I was an accounting major taking a full load and working full time. I recall reading the “Federalist Papers” by Madison, Jay and Hamilton. In the midst of it in my solitary study, I recall an epiphany revelation with a compelling question behind it: “Who were these guys !?!” The answer – Very intelligent life long learners for sure, but high achievers that were blessed with a Christian worldview education from a very early age. If I am not mistaken, I think this verses and associated verses (James 4:12 perhaps) that led Madison’s brainstorm on separation of powers.

More commonly known in recent years but did you know:

John Adams and Thomas Jefferson died on the same day. It happened to be on the 4th of July. It also happened to fall on the 50th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence in 1826.
