Psalm 15 – The Character of Those Who May Dwell with the Lord – A Psalm of David
Henry H. Halley comments in “Halley’s Bible Handbook” that Thomas Jefferson asserted that Psalm 15 was the picture of a “True Gentleman”. My Evidence Bible footnote to the first five verses reads:
“This is the standard by which the Christian should live. We must walk in righteousness, speak the truth, keep our heart free from sin, keep our word, and be free from any corruption and covetousness. Those who fear God and want to be effective in their witness will gladly conform.”
I have a been a Christian as long as I can remember, yet it has been only in the last years, that even a thought of a sin, even what might be termed a “small” sin to many, disturbs me greatly with even the possibility of grieving the Holy Spirit.
Soli Deo Gloria!
