07/12/2024 – Day 040 – Job – Chapters 11 – 12
The post for this reading last cycle is dated: 07/10/2020 – It really speaks to the quote post for today and 11: 7-8: “Can you search out the deep things of God? Can you find out the limits of the Almighty? They are higher than heaven — what can you do? Deeper than Sheol — what can you know?”
For today, let’s take a look at a triangulation of three verses.
“He uncovers deep things out of the darkness, And brings the shadows of death to light.” Job 12:22

“Through the tender mercy of our God, With which the Dayspring from on high has visited us; To give light to those who sit in darkness and the shadow of death. To guider our feet into the way of peace.” Luke 1: 78 – 79
“Yea, though, I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; For You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.” Psalm 23:4
The footnote reads: “This life is the valley of the shadow of death. The Scriptures describe all of humanity as sitting in darkness and the shadow of death, because they rebelled against the words of God (Psalm 107: 10,11). The birth of the Savior gives ‘light to those who sit in darkness and shadow of death.” (Luke 1:79). The light of the gospel not only banishes the shadow of death, but the believer fears no evil because God is now for him, rather than against him.”
