07/16/2022 – Day 139 – Jeremiah 37 – 41 // Connections to contemporary events and Eternal Truths / Imperative – We must heed God’s Word!
Again, I am putting William Wiersbe’s commentary on the book of Jeremiah on our wish list for further study after our 365 day read in this cycle is complete. The title of his book that I am pulling these discussion questions from is “Be Decisive”. Bear in mind , this section in Wiersbe’s book is chapters 34 – 39. Let’s get started
“1. If you were going to write a want ad for a “full service servant,” what characteristics/qualifications would include? Why?
2. How did Jeremiah demonstrate his complete commitment to God?
…
4. How did King Zedekiah and others demonstrate self-centered behavior?
…
6. What are some of the dangers of attempting to appear spiritual while doing as little as possible?
…
8. What does a full-fledged commitment to a consistent, God pleasing lifestyle look like today?
9. What can you do this week to demonstrate this kind of commitment?”
Thoughts? / Comments?
Comments here: Let’s work on the now. Maybe we treat each day as if it were a separate life, give all you can for just this day that God gave you. Maybe we can touch a soul that we haven’t met until now, with an encouraging word.
Soli Deo Gloria!
