07/21/2012 – Day 144 – Psalms 60 – 62 / “Find rest, O my soul, in God alone; He alone is my rock and my salvation; he is my fortress, I will not be shaken.” Psalm 62: 1:2
Actually, these two verses are repeated again within Psalm 62, verses 5-6. Also, these verses resonated with me paricularly today:
“But for those who fear you, you have raised a banner, to be unfurled against the bow. Save us and help us with your right hand, that those you love may be delivered. ” Psalm 60 4-5 (Delivered — done! )
“For you have heard my vows, O god; you have given me the heritage of those who fear your name.” Psalm 61: 5
Some verses, I didn’t have a heart for today, and I conveyed that to the Lord, such as: “You have rejected us, O God, and burst upon us; you have been angry – now restore us!” Psalm 60:1 Rather: “Lord , your patient love is unfathomable!”
Three words I haven’t heard much of from the pulpit: “Fear the Lord; Fear the Lord; Fear the Lord!” / “Holy, Holy, Holy”
