06/10/2025 – I am asking for 7 minutes and 35 seconds of your time – let’s just say it is of infinite importance… / Subject: Our Great Commission mission from our Lord. (link below)/ Pray!

I had nothing to do with repenting and accepting Jesus Christ as my personal Lord and Savior. It was a gift from the Holy Spirit. And so it is with all Christians, be they current Christians or future Christians, they are headed to His kingdom for eternity. So why bother, why not just let the Holy Spirit do it then? I would submit it is an abomination that I would let a blessing like that go by to sit on the sidelines of nothingness, passing up a glorious opportunity to come alongside the Holy Spirit! And the joy of witnessing to a fellow soul being released from the prison of this world, into the unfathomable joy of the eternal dance of our Triune God cannot be expressed in words. If I don’t see it here, I will see it in heaven when a complete stranger in this world approaches me with: “I know you; you are the messenger that invited me here!”

Just listen to the end of this sermon: “When the Forty Years had Passed” from Alistair Begg , of Parkside Church in Cleveland this past Sunday. Fast forward and begin at 31:20 and listen intently for 7 minutes and 35 seconds until the end. (link below) I urge you to act upon it immediately , just pray, either acting on it immediately or passing it on to loved ones. He created us all in His image, and uniquely, to be with Him! It is all about an eternal relationship with Him, wrapped in agape love! We were made for this!

None of us know when our last breath is going to occur! At that point, it is too late. Send it to loved ones that you expect are future christians, for we cannot even measure hearts, only God is capable of that. I will repeat my post this morning, a quote from C.S. Lewis: “Christianity, if false, is of no importance, and if true, of infinite importance.  The only thing it cannot be is moderately important.”  C.S. Lewis

The “Good” Thief on the cross with Jesus, traditionally named Dismas was saved with essentially a prayer of two sentences. (read Luke 23: 41 -42) The entire section is only 5 verses: v39 – v43. How do I know? “And He (Jesus) said to him, ‘I assure you: Today will be with Me in paradise.’ ” (v43)

So, it is the heart , rather than the words. Here is a prayer, not as simple and as short as Dismas’ prayer plea, but it has all the necessary elements:

“Lord Jesus, thank you for saving me, a sinner, and for giving Your life for my sake. You died and rose to life again to rescue me from the kingdom of darkness, cleanse me, and forgive me my sins that I may be righteous and holy in the eyes of God. I surrender my life to You, and I am forever yours. Amen.”

Or, it could even be : “Help me with my unbelief, O Lord Jesus!” I am not giving up! I am trusting fully in You O Lord!” So, I will never stop praying, looking for You alone to deliver me!”

Even if you prayed that last prayer above, pass it on to loved ones who you suspect are “future” christians!

Soli Deo Gloria!

Your brother in Christ,

Jimmy
