08/24/2024 – Day 083 – Isaiah – Chapters 62 – 66
We have two prior posts for today’s reading: 08/15/2020 & 05/21/2022. The former includes an introduction to the book of Isaiah. The later is a sermon from John MacArthur, titled: “The Truth About Death.”
Today I am starting with commentary from a single verse:
“We are yours of old; but you have not ruled over them, they have not been called by your name.” Isaiah 63: 19

Jimmy comment: “We” are the children of God, the people of Israel, but we know Isaiah prophesied correctly, confirmed by the Gospels, that the Christian Gentiles are “grafted in” of course. “They” is everybody else.

Any thoughts, reflections on the first six verses of chapter 63, under the section titled: “God’s Day of Vengeance and Redemption”?:
“Who is this coming from Edome, from Bozrah, with his garments stained crimson? Who is this robed in splendor, striding forward in the greatness of his strength? ‘It is I, proclaiming victory, mighty to save.’ Why are your garments red, like those of one treading
I’ve said this oftentimes, but I could go through this reading a multitude of posts, and still not scratch the surface… All Scripture is God breathed. But this one would have to be on a very short list of daily readings that most exemplify the saying: “Like the deer panting for wanting: It is like taking a drink of water from a fire hose!”
