The Journey of up

Wednesday, September 7, 2022

Several decades ago, at this time of year, Israel became a nation again, with Jewish people returning to their ancient homeland. They made “aliyah.” Aliyah tells you where your life is to be heading. The Gospels always speak of Yeshua, Jesus going UP to Jerusalem – always UP. Jerusalem, was set on the Judean hills, but more importantly, when you’re going to God you always go up. The journey was called aliyah, the journey of ascending. Whenever someone goes to the Holy Land, it’s said they’re “making aliyah.” If you go to Israel, or from Israel to Jerusalem, you’re making aliyah. If you’re born again, your life is now to become a spiritual aliyah. Your direction is UP, heavenward. Apostle Paul would write of pressing on in the “upward” call. You, too, have an upward call. Every day, you have a choice between a higher and lower step. So every day, choose always the higher step over the lower, the more heavenly over the less. Dare to go for the highest. You’ll be amazed at what happens to your life – going up – making aliyah. From Message #1360 – The Aliyah Mystery
Scripture: Psalm 122

This is amazing!:
“Jerusalm, built as a city, should be solidly joined together, where the tribes, the tribes of the Lord. (This is an ordinance for Israel.)” Psalm 122:4

So, I followed my footnotes from my “Evidence BIble”:

122:4 footnote: “The purpose of the people giving to the festivals to worship was “to give thanks.” expressing their loyalty to the Lord and reaffirming their gratitude for His covenant blessings (on the meaning of ‘giving thanks’ in the Old Testament, see note on 118:19.”

118:19 footnote: “The ‘gates’ bring to mind the gates of the temple, through which the righteous would enter to praise the Lord for delivering them from death. The speaker approached the sanctuary voing the ‘thanks’ of the people he represented. His thanks were not simple gratitude: The Hebrew verb yadah signifies the lifting of the hand, in the gesture affirming loyalty to the Lord’s covenant.”

Jonathan Cahn would back me up on this: “It is not about the messenger”. But think about this, the proliferating remnant Messianic Jews proclaiming this message. Just look at thw wake of devastation of the Jewish community. But up front: “to give thanks to our Lord , the blessed Trinity”! That’s what I call divine perspective, only by the grace of God’s perfect love!

Soli Deo Gloria!; Yadah!
