09/15/20 – Day 114- Exodus 13 – 16: “Revival time in America people!; Let’s wake up!”

What an ongoing training ground and object lesson for the children of Israel, gathering up just enough manna for that day, the daily sustenance that God provided with the dew of each morning. But they didn’t listen. (see 16: 14-20)

The footnote to my Bible on this section reads: “Make sure you daily gather sustenance from God’s Word. If you suspect that someone is a false convert, ask when he last read the Bible. His response will indicate whether he is close to or distant from the Lord. False converts, who let sin into their hearts, will often still pray, to their concept of God but will stop reading God’s Word. It becomes odious to them because of their sin.” I would add: How is it possible for a Christian not hearn for the Word of God like a deer panting for water.”

Chapter 12: vs 43 – through 50 covers Passover regulations. Passover is a foreshadowing to Jesus’ substionary atonement and resurrection from the cross. I don’t send out nearly as many mass emails as I used to. But the past month , I have been circulating Jonathan Cahn’s 3 minute presentation of the mystery of the star of David. The lamb on the doorways formed a triangle pointing upward to God. The piercing of Jesus’ body on the cross formed a triangle pointing downward to mankind. Justapose the two and you have the Star of David.

Ok , 12;46: “In one house it shall be eaten; you shall not carry any of the flesh outside the house, nor shall you break one of its bones. ” Now check out the footnote to this verse: “None of the Passover lamb’s bones were to be broken. Just so, while the others crucified with Jesus had their legs broken by soldiers to hasten their death, Jesus’ bones were not broken (see John 19:33,36) Isn’t the connectivity of events 1500 years apart amazing. Do not let anyone refer to the Old Testatment and the New Testament as if they were two books, without a loving witness.

I like what Moses tells the people at the Red Sea Crossing – vs 14:13: “Do not be afraid. Stand still, and see the salvation of the Lord, which He will accomplish for you today. For the Egyptians whom you see today, you shall see again no more forever.” Whoa, anybody interested in sharing thoughts here?

If Christians in this country and around the world, would get the word out on “The Return” – the national and global day of prayer and repentence running Friday night- September 25th and 26th, I believe God would hold back His judgment on us. Time is running out on us just like it was for the people of Israel that we are reading about in Book of Jeremiah on Saturdays. Sign up for the free simulcast on thereturn.org. Let’s get the word out! Check out the website or call me anytime if you have questions.
