09/23/2025 – Don’t miss this one!: A Facebook post from Craig Ireland yesterday regarding Charlie Kirk’s ministry. It is not about the messenger but how then shall we live? Engage against evil and stand fast! (Ephesians 6:13)

Here it is!:

“Too many Christians, including pastors, are judging Charlie Kirk’s ministry by offense, not truth. They’re distancing themselves because his campus talks unsettle people, as if controversy negates Gospel impact value.

This is backwards. Truth offends. Always has.

Why was Jesus crucified? He offended people. Why were the apostles martyred? They offended people. If we’re unwilling to cause offense, we’ve chosen, the wrong worldview. Scripture itself is offensive to fallen minds.

Kirk delivered what modern Christians desperately lack: courage.

We’ve been growing in talk about ‘winsomeness.’ Endless chatter about ‘contextualization.’ Constant demands for ‘relevance.’ But courage? Crickets.

Yet courage is what makes effective ministry possible. Real cultural engagement. Real evangelism. Real apologetics. Without it, winsomeness becomes cowardice dressed up in theological verbiage. Contextualisation becomes compromise with a seminary diploma.

Kirk strove for winsome. Kirk was relevant. Kirk was the most culturally engaged Christian of our generation. But what made him effective wasn’t his polish. It was his backbone. He had the spine to speak complete truth to a culture that demands partial lies.

As Jesus warned: ‘If the world hates you, you know that it hates me before it hated you’. (John 15:18). Hatred and offense are the world’s natural response to uncompromising truth.

That not just ministry. That’s New Testament Christianity.”

Whoa! Soli Deo Gloria!

Comments:

Again, from Peter Kreeft’s book; “How to be Holy”:

“God is omnipotent, omniscient, and omnibenevolent (He wills our greatest joy), therefore, God loves us more than we love ourselves. God’s deepest desire is for our peace and joy. We can’t lose, because God can’t lose! Insofar as we believe that identity, we will love His will as we love our own. We will then fully embrace it and become holy.”

“Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of his saints.” (Psalm 116:15) Needless to say, the world will never get this Truth.
