09/26/2024 – “10,000 Reasons” – Matt Rodman live in Times Square / Start each day right!; Praise Him! Sing it out and pray a Psalm, i.e.: Psalm 103… (see comments below)
By His grace; the remnant church will never be defeated!
I don’t know if this story is true, from one of the numerous posted YouTube comments, but it is not about the messenger anyway! Rather, this song definitely points to our unfathomably amazing God that offers us forgiveness! Seek out a growing relationship with Him like the deer panting for water and don’t ever let go! That’s it. :
“It was 1974, and there was a little boy born in England. This little boy was born into a very dysfunctional family, and his father committed suicide when the little boy was seven. He didn’t know that his father had taken his own life until he was ten. Left some scars on him. His mother remarried to a very abusive step-father, who eventually ended up in prison for abusing the family. Hard life for that little boy in England. Sometime later in his youth he went to a mission meeting in England where he heard the gospel and was converted to Christ. He is a very good musician. And in wanting to celebrate what Christ had done in his life he started writing songs. And he came to Psalm 103, and he wrote a song on Psalm 103. The name of that song is “Ten Thousand Reasons,” and that little boy was Matt Redman, and “Ten Thousand Reasons” is his expression of Psalm 103.”
Just imagine the God given opportunity: if we pray from the book of Psalm, we are praying prayers written by Almighty God Himself. I don’t have words to express the eternal joy in that simple opportunity …
Soli Deo Gloria!
