10/03/2021 – Day 009 – Genesis 1-3 – The Fall of Man

Funny, I hadn’t posted Day 009 in our one year read through the Bible plan that ended May of this year. That first two weeks, I was working frantically on the wordpress set up. I am an accountant, not an IT guy. Thankfully, Carl is an IT guy and he is helping us with enhancing the blog. It will just take a little time as Carl is juggling alot of balls as always. Check out Carl’s blogs on boycotting evil big tech under a filter category search: “Boycotting the Devil’s Minions” This is an excellent example how we have to ramp up God’s plan for His impregnable remnant church. Brick by brick, it takes a village.

As I explained in my previous John Gill post, our men’s group is going over Genesis Chapter One through Nine on Tuesday morning. So, here is the question I did not do nearly as well on as John Piper’s explanation on his “DesiringGod” website. Here is the question:

Why did God restrict a single tree from eating – “The knowledge of Good and Evil” from Adam and Eve? I will post John Piper’s response on Tuesday. In the meantime, share your throughts, before or after for that matter.

As a sidepoint:

Note how Adam’s IQ went down considerably just from the original sin. They were created in the image of God. Adam was naming all the animals. Then afterwards: 1) He actually believed he could hide from God Almighty in the garden? Or 2) How about his flimsy excuse to God, pointing his finger at Eve in the process?
