10/21/2021 – “The Greatest Discovery” by Elton John/ “This is your brand new brother!”
This song (link below) is to commemorate my baby brother Mike’s 60th birthday today. It is with the same joy that I welcome a new Christian brother into His kingdom, the kingdom that is here and now, even amidst the evil of this world.
I experienced it with Sebastian, a young man that I was witnessing to this past weekend at the Dallas State Fair. A physical connection for us of perhaps just a couple minutes in this life. We are born again to a life everlasting with our Lord Jesus Christ the moment we accept Him as our personal Lord and Savior. So, the indwelling Holy Spirit within me, was raising the curtain of mystery ,wonder and joy in the context of a future event. “Hope that is seen is not hope.” The time trigger point doesn’t matter, as we embrace it through faith. Our faith too, is by way of a gift from the Holy Spirit. The wonder and amazement will never recede in “The Greatest Discovery”! In the terms of this world, we can’t capture it “in a box”. We must, by God’s grace alone, break out of this world’s box! Through that grace, we have won already!
