Some summary notes:
- One of the best secular books I have ever read: “The Creature from Jekyll Island” by G. Edward Griffin / ASIN reference: BOONBJGF08 // I would trade all the humanities courses I had in my entire four years at college for what I learned in just this one book. This is the sordid history behind the Federal Reserve. This fifth edition is in 2010.To read it again, would be eerie given the forecasts that ring so true today.
- I agree on Herbert Hoover and FDR: from best to worst , so to speak, whereas most would say the opposite. If y’all want to share:
- List your top three presidents , best and worst, from the start of the 20th century to today:
- My contribution: Best: Herbert Hoover / Calvin Coolidge / Donald Trump // Worst: Joe Biden / Barrack Obama / FDR (so much easier come up with names going from worst: As bad as FDR was, Woodrow Wilson (perhaps first Marxist and last openly rascist president) and LBJ are close behind. btw: The federal reserve act was signed by Woodrow Wilson in 1913, creating the federal reserve as we know it today. No coincidence…
- In my opinion, the first six presidents were stellar: George Washington / John Adams / Thomas Jefferson / James Madison / James Monroe / John Quincy Adams. Adams and Jefferson differed on many issues but became the closest of friends after their presidencies, pen pals. They both died on July 4, 1826, the nation’s 50th anniversary.
