My intent when I went into the Truth for Life website, was to catch up with Alistair’s current sermon series at Parkside Church in Cleveland. We have become so engaged at our new church community. That is a good thing in that we are physically in worship fellowship with brothers and sisters in Christ, not just virtual. Alistair himself has emphasized that early on in the Covid crises as his live streaming sermons became increasingly popular.
I started this sermon in the archives thinking: 2nd Commandment (Exodus 20: 4-6) : “I’ve got that; I don’t worship graven images!” So, how did I end up posting this instead of the live streaming sermon as is my normal practice from the previous Sunday woship at Parkside church in Cleveland?
Well, I got set back in my tracks on this sermon message, perhaps like no other in a long time. Perhaps, I am meant to be the conduit or the messenger that passes it onto the body of Christ. The good Lord has told me to just obey and to stay on this blog, in spite of its lack of physical connections and still, very limited interaction after 19 months. Just obey! We needn’t look any further than the example set by Isaiah, Jeremiah, Ezekiel, and Habbukuk, just to name four of nineteen. I choose these four because their environment is much like ours today: Very lonely with apparently no one listening, with the world around us collapsing. Just obey!
Blessings!; Soli Deo Gloria!
