11/29/2025 – Week 5 of 13 – Ezekiel study (Nov 1st thru Jan. 24th) – Chapters 15 – 17 / Post 2 of 2 //For introduction – See 10/14/2025 post // Questions for Group Discussion and Fellowship /
As noted last week, I will post my answers here in the next few days before the end of our thanksgiving week. Normally, we post fellowship discussion around posted comments from specific posts, but that would shut out “read only” users. If at any point, you would like to contribute to our group but don’t yet have a logon, send me an email with your comment(s) to semikkah7.com. With your permission of course, I will post them for the benefit of the group. And of course at any point, send me an email to the same address if you would like to get a logon for ongoing posts and comment fellowship. Write access users: Continue to use the comment selection to this post.
I will add my (Jimmy) footnote denoted: (*1) with my reply separated by lines above and below:
This is from pgs. # 97 – 98 from Wiersbe’s book noted in Post #1:
________________________________________________________________
#1. The people of Ezekiel’s day did not take the Word of the Lord seriously. What evidences do you see today that your countrymen do or do not take God’s Word seriously?
#3. The Bible often uses a vine as imagery for the church. In what ways do you see the church function as a living vine?
#5. Why do you think our adoption into God’s family sometimes becomes a point of pride rather than privilege?
#6. If we know our blessings come from God, why is it so easy to stray from Him in the midst of them?
#10. Why do you think Ezekiel, and many other prophets, taught through parables and images as well as sermons?

Thoughts? Reflections? Questions? Prayer.
Questions for fellowship generation, the lifelong sanctification process:
- What does the text reveal about God’s character?
- How has this reading generated prayer for you and/or us?
- What themes stand out to you in this bible study?
- How does our reading fit into the bigger picture (creation, the fall, restoration, etc.)?
- What verse(s) jumped out at you like never before? Is it explainable at this point?
- Do you have any questions you would like to put before the group as to how to interpret any particular verse(s) in our reading. Let scripture testify to scripture: Share with us where you sense contradiction between passages elsewhere.
- What did you find convicting and inspiring at the same time? Share with us how the Spirit of God is working within you as a messenger, both within and outside of our fellowship group.
- Share with the group how our study is calling or confirming to you a new mission to glorify God in our times.

Syncretism: How can be love the world and love our LORD God Almighty simooultaneosly!
#3. The Bible often uses a vine as imagery for the church. In what ways do you see the church function as a living vine?
The martyrd churches around the world , the one body of Christ, loving and supporting one another amidst the horrific persecution.
#5. Why do you think our adoption into God’s family sometimes becomes a point of pride rather than privilege?
“When self professed christians sit on the sidelines instead of engaging in our mission of “The Great Commission.”
#6. If we know our blessings come from God, why is it so easy to stray from Him in the midst of them?
Adam and Eve and original sin: We get caught up in ourselves to the point of desiring to be god.
#10. Why do you think Ezekiel, and many other prophets, taught through parables and images as well as sermons?
Parables and images bring out reflection upon sin over words.
