12/06/2022 – “Man spends half his salary for all the manly tasks he can’t do.” (Attached: shared laugh experience amongst three close brothers in Christ. / Be thankful!)

This satire is in honor of my brother Jason, who not only has the gift, but he has nurtured it with a lot of sweat equity and persistence. Actually brother Jason should not be excluded as an exemplary mentor, since Jason didn’t have to overcome spending his career at a professional corporate desk job, as Jewell has. So, that leaves me and Jerry. In a worst-fest competition, Jerry is nowhere near to my mark I highly expect as far as: highest percentage of salary spent on manly tasks. Jerry and I had a good chuckle over the hypothetical what if we had switched tasks with Jewell and Jason in a recent team project. “Houston, we have a problem!”
Serious premise: I enjoy competing against others, but ultimately I compete only with myself. And notwithstanding the blessing of just good Christian fellowship, God forbid, if brothers invite me into a project, I am going to learn from that experience, in addition to just serving.
Now, I am going to the purpose of this blog, which ultimately comes down to “Soli Deo Gloria!”:
Bible Study and prayer is the core. But as Christian remnant warriors, we can so better serve our fellow souls if we first mentor and serve one another in the ongoing process of “iron sharpening iron”. (“Iron sharpens iron, and one man sharpens another.”) Proverbs 27:17. (One word coming to mind again and again: “Synergy – the whole is greater than the sum of the parts.)
I would also like to add: Be prepared for this world dead ahead. Get off the couch if you are waiting around for the rapture. I’ve read the Book: We win in the end by His grace! But we need to seize the opportunity of God’s call to participate alongside of Him…
Always connected through prayer and by His grace!
Love,
Your brother in Christ,
Jimmy
