Alistair notes Gideon’s story in Judges 6. The Angel of the Lord greets him with: “The Lord is with you, might warrior.” (Judges 6:12). We can see from his reply, he wasn’t a warrior, not yet, but He was about to be transformed by the Holy Spirit beyond his wildest imagination.
God forbid that we should be looking for answers “in all the wrong places.”
