12/17/2023 – The Chosen – Three Scenes – Take three minutes to ten minutes each to view them again, and become even more amazed…
I suspect many share my lifelong experience: I have been through the Bible verses on a read through the Bible in year program on numerous occasions. I previewed each of these scenes, my second viewing. It is a tremendous thing about Jesus that the more we know him the greater He becomes. Imagine if we were actual witnesses to these scenes, would it not His unfathomable love be amplified that much more? In His kingdom through eternity, does it ever stop constantly becoming greater from my perception?
“Jesus and the Samaritan Woman at the Well” – See John Chapter 4: Verses # 1 through #43.
Nicodemus pays a nightly visit to Jesus: See John – Chapter Three – Verses #1 through #21
“Jesus Calls Matthew, the Misfit Tax Collector” – See the following verses from three synoptic gospels: Matthew Chapter 9: 9 – 13; Mark Chapter 2: 13-17; John Chapter 4 , 1-43. This three minute scene covers only the first verse of each. The remaining verses speak to the upcoming dinner at Matthew’s home noted by Jesus at the very end. From the personality depictions in the series, our oldest daughter and I both agree that of the twelve disciples, we would most enjoy hanging out with Matthew. But then we are both “quirky”. haha
Stay tuned, I plan on posting a few more up to Christmas Day and a few days beyond.
Why Is the order of calling the disciples different within the Synoptic Gospels?:
