12/19/2025 – “Bear one another’s burden, and thereby fulfill the law of Christ.” Galatians 6:2 / Bible Reading: Galatians 6
“Part of my training in the Marine Corps included some tips for surviving in combat. One was: Always dig a hole big enough for two, preferably three. Inevitable, the strain of battle will cause you to go weak in the knees. You need somebody near you, to help you stay strong.
God has designed His family to be that sort of support network. Nobody can handle all the pressure over the long haul. Companionship and accountability are essential!”
Soli Deo Gloria!
Comment:
Within our churches network, base camps for the one body of Christ spread across the globe: The elders and deacons support the pastoral team ; the congregation supports the elders and deacons; and, the entire congregation support the pastoral team, elders and deacons through continual prayer.
Charles Swindoll biography:
My mother went home to the Lord in 1971. Her favorite preacher, was Chuck Swindoll. She would listen to him on the radio. My wife, and young adult daughter and I visited Stonebriar around ten years ago. It is not about the messenger, but it brought back memories when I was a teenager.
Your brother in Christ,
Jimmy
