12/06/2024 – ChristianPost – “5 myths regarding salvation.”
https://www.christianpost.com/voices/5-myths-regarding-salvation.html
I will cover “3. Once saved always saved” and “4. Works are not important” in once comment for they are intertwined:
Indeed, one cannot be saved just by mouthing the “Jesus prayer” at an altar call. Only Almighty God can measure a heart. But if one turns their life over to Yeshua (Jesus) Christ, the Holy Spirit takes over by regenerating the soul. And I submit: from there, “Once saved always saved” applies. And if one is truly saved, works follow! It is impossible for works not to follow. This is what James was talking about when he wrote: “Faith without works is death!” (counterfeit faith so to speak). So, works are not the saving agent, but the evidence of salvation.
Like a “Deer panting for water”: The deer does not need to self-motivate before drinking.
