01/17/2025 – Christian Post: “Ex-muslim reveals incredible path to Jesus: ‘ I audibly heard the voice of Christ.’
This podcast is only 17 minutes. I really enjoyed it; an amazing testimony from Heideh Mirahuadi, not a typical story that we come to expect. She immigrated to the U.S. in a “secular” Iranian family in the 1960s. In going to college, she took her father’s advice and became a Sufi “Mystic” Muslim sects. Typical of Sufi Muslims, she was turned off by the Extremist Muslim sects. The Sufis take a more historical context, thereby not taking calls literally for violence against souls that are not muslim today.
I’ll let her explain her amazing conversion story and the courage she took to be open about, even sending out 15,000 newsletters. I did not hear her mention to the interviewer Billy Hallowell that she “audibly heard the voice of Christ.” But miracles do not stick with us anyway.
I expect I have had more fellowship with Iranian people than most here in the U.S. In the mid-70s – I was a group instructor for about six male Iranian college students. About 15 years ago, I took an extensive seminar on “how to witness to Muslims” within our lutheran church in Dallas. And I have been sharing the word about a subject that surprisingly very few American Christians even seem to be aware of: The underground Iranian church the past decade or so could be the fastest growing Christian church in the world. FAI Ministries met with their leadership in Indonesia for it was one of the few, if not the only meeting location, since Indonesia is predominately Muslim. One amazing secondary observation , but not insignificant: They reported that all the leaders showed an exuberant love for the nation of Israel. That is amazing since many of the leaders were born after Khomeini took power, thereby they were indoctrinated incessantly with hate for Israel from a very young age.
I’ve posted the amazing growth of Christianity in Iran via the YouTube documentary: “Sheep Among Wolves – Part II”, about ten (years) dated now. But you can find quite a few documentaries since then on the same subject.
Last but not least, every time I share this story , I think of my amazing luncheon with a work colleague Khan, about twenty years ago. Khan was a devout Muslim with a young family here in the states. He is still on my recurring and regular prayer list to this day. I break the list down between monthly, weekly and daily prayers. So, no conversions either way as we witnessed to each other. But my parting words to Khan with prayer: “Khan, you can have an “all-powerful” unipersonal God (Allah), but you can’t have an “all-loving” unipersonal God (Trinity – (*A) , for love requires at least another person,. So, what if we are actually right? He gave me a parting reflective look… (My thought – by the grace of God, maybe the next messenger that crosses his path. Our LORD is in control!; we are mere messengers. But hope that is seen is not hope. And I will never give up on hope. Trust and Obey!
(*A) – That is the only advice given in the Lutheran class that I recall not buying into. They said: Do not share the Trinity with them early on in your witness. It takes a very long time! I was thinking: Did the Holy Spirit tell you that? So, we have Muslims converting even from dreams. I don’t recall any Messianic Jews in my growing up years. Now suddenly, they are popping up from all over, pleading with their Jewish loves ones, to accept Yeshua as their LORD and Savior. If you actually search for it, you can find it all over the internet. (“What is Messianic Judaism?” , try YouTube.)
