12/09/2021 – “The Closest Miracle” (that would be you, your body…) // Romans 1:20 !
Jonathan Cahn’s sermon reminds me of a television interview many years ago where two Harvard biology profs were asked what was the foundational significance of Darwin’s theory of evolution. The answer came back short and to the point: “It takes God out of the equation.” I thought to myself: “Well, at least I applaud him for his honesty, but I can’t believe he said it!” Darwin once commented that human eye freaked him out because it was so intricate and unexplainable without a God in the equation. My premise for the root cause of this denial is that Darwin was just mad at God after a beloved young daughter died.
So, this 30 minute segment is similar two Faith in the Family’s Truth Project, two of ten or so segments focusing on science within the larger topic of “What is a Christian worldview”. So it is with this presentation, it fits the common comment at the beginning of the Truth project segments: “You will be amazed!”.
1 Corinthians 15:45: “It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body.”
Romans 1:20: “For since the creation of the world, God’s invisible qualities – his eternal power and divine nature – have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse.” For current Christians , even a momentary reflection bears fruit for it naturally leads to a prayer of praise…. And as a practice, it leads to the blessings of Romans 12:2 from an engaged life long learning process.
Soli Deo Gloria indeed!
