I hearken back to last week, my first post on the book:

First, let’s take a look at Alistair’s up-front summary:

“When King David reviewed his life, his focus was on the Lord as the source of his strength and victories. Alistair Begg points out that the same God who provided for David—the only true and living God—continues to provide for us today. His ways are perfect, even when our lives are sad and stormy. His provision, however, won’t be enjoyed by everyone. Salvation is only promised to those who trust in His Son, Jesus, the ultimate and everlasting King.”

Now let’s look at the sermon connecting point to the book:

Now our connection to the book “Living Life WRAWKCAB” by David Gibson, one of my key “gotchas” was the admonition not to think or say, “what happened to the ‘good’ ol days”. Why? To do so, is to overlook God’s presence in our day today, His ever-present perfect sovereignty. But , we are suffering you say? Biblical answer: “Sharing in the sufferings of Christ”, thereby glorifying God. And mathematically, what is the significance? Heaven is forever, immersed completely in unfathomable joy, the “dance of the Trinity” that somehow we have been invited to by the grace of God. On a real stretch of my potential for years left here: Let’s say : 40 years. Ok 40 years divided by infinity. Answer? Huh, that would be the limit -0-!, thereby -0- significance of this suffering! There you have it…
