Living Inside The Triunity
Wednesday, January 17, 2024
God contains everything. God is one, and yet triune, the Father, the Son, and the Spirit. That means that God can even pray to God – and God can answer those prayers. God can call to God. God can seek God, and thank God, and praise God. So because God is triune, He can even know what it is to know God. And what that means is that when you worship God, God is worshiping God with you. When you pray, God is praying to God with you. When you feel far from God, God is with you feeling far from God as well. That’s why He’s called Immanuel – God is with us – in everything. When you’re feeling down, or weak, He’s feeling down with you – So you’re never alone. There’s nothing in your life that’s outside of Him. So share everything with Him just as He shares everything with you. Move in His moving, love in His loving, worship in His worshiping, pray in His praying, rejoice in His joy, love in His loving. God is even more than you think He is. He’s so awesome- He’s All in All.

Insert – Comment with our Bible reference verses today:
Today would have been my Dad’s 103rd birthday. My paternal grandfather Robert was born in 1870, 153 years ago.
I stick by my recent comment : “I am glad we will have eternity to fully know the Lord, for that is how long it will take to get there.” And I also I am recalling from this daily devotional, a fews ago, when our youngest daughter was a sharing a class discussion from her freshman honors Philosophy class at Tarleton State, a blessing for her since her professor was a Christian worldview “thinker”. He was one “rare bird” Philosophy prof messenger, a breath of fresh air focusing on “the light” of God. From it, I am reflecting on Anselm’s “proof of God” statement way back nearly a millennium ago . It started with the axiom: “Alrighty God is the greatest thought possible. no close second places needless to say.” It has had an age old controversy amongst Christian theologians through history. It surprised me that my daughter shared that she thought it was logically sound, with me taking the position it was a logical fallacy. Bear in mind, a premise can be absolutely true, with the logical proof an invalid logical fallacy.
Also: I reflect back to a scene recalled by Brennan Manning, a rock solid Christian that had gone through horrific tragedy, screaming in anger within his prayer: “I am sick of this!” , following by a strong sense of the Holy Spirit responding back in tears: “I know!” The final reflection: I recommend Robert Duvall’s great portrayal of a “Ragamuffin” evangelist in the movie : “The Apostle”. And also back to a few days ago on a post: John 17: “Jesus Prays for All Believers” : “May they also be in us so that the world might believe that you have sent me.” (us = Father, Son and Holy Spirit – three in one, roger that, the Holy Spirit is a person too!)
Our scriptural reference today, Psalm 139: 7 -12:
Where can I go from your Spirit? Where can I flee from your presence? If I go up to the heavens, you are there; if I make my bed in the depths, you are there. If I rise on the wings of the dawn, if I settle on the far side of these, even there your hand will guide me, your right hand will hold me fast. If I say, ‘Surely the darkness will hide me and the light become night around me,’ even the darkness will not be dark to you; the night will shine like the day, for darkness is as light to you.” Psalm 139: 7-12
