3) what are the key verses, key phrases, the key words?
4) What are the key points or principles – and how do they work in my life?
5) In this chapter do I see any commands to obey, promises to claim, standards to live by? examples to learn from?

Psalm 1 has long been a favorite of mine. The language is beautiful, soothing. I set out to memorize all six verses years ago. But never quiet got them all down. It’s hard even to pick a favorite verse from the six. But with that said, I really love verse three’s description of a righteous man rooted in Christ!

    He is like a tree
    planted by streams of water
that yields its fruit in its season,
and its leaf does not wither.
In all that he does, he prospers.

A great start to the new year!
