Getting Started:
The blog is read access to anyone that enters the website. If you want an account and password for write access , please contact me – “Jimmy” at Semikkah7@protonmail.com. The passwords are machine generated, sorry, it is a WordPress thing. The account name convention is first name followed by last name initial, so mine is JimmyB, which appears on my posts. Just FYI – only logged on accounts can see comments to original posts.
- This blog began with the first cycle of the Semikkah7 read through the Bible plan in June of 2020. Bible study and prayer will remain the foundation but the sharpening tool expansions within the remnant body of Christ are limitless.
- We have only two months left at this point in our 2nd 365 read through, the “Semikkah7” plan. The posts are logged with the Date / Day # – 1 thru 365 of the assignment / Bible verses in the reading assignment. The plan by day is available in a pdf or excel version by clicking on: “Semikkah7” on the upper left of the main menu bar, followed by: “Semikkah7 Annual Plan”. I really much prefer the seven day theme reading plan, a read plan of seven books of the bible at a time sequentially, with the books for that day all categorized under a given theme for the entire year. (four days a week – Old Testament / Three days a week – New Testament) .
- Brother Carl added other alternative read plans. They appear on the top of the main menu bar. Click on them for more information on each alternative plan.
- I would recommend looking at the categories drop down window at the top of the main menu. If you are logged into an account, you can use the search and the filter tools to quickly drill down to a particular post or a particular area of interest, respectively. For search, the history now goes back 2 1/2 years. Since we have a category for each Bible reading plan, users can quickly use the filter tool to isolate their sub-group posts only.
- If you click on “categories” down the left side of the main menu, you will see a listing of all the categories that we currently have set up. Categories currently include: Blog Starter Kit (getting started) ; Prayer (requests); Prayer about prayer (The Discipline) ; Links to sermons ; Christian Apologetics (defending your faith); Praise Music links ; Warrior Tools; Health and Covid ; Boycott the Devil and His minions; Charities – Giving ; Daily Sapphire Devotions (from Jonathan Cahn) ; The “American Minute” with Bill Federer ; Satire (currently “Babylon Bee” selections); Favorites: Books ; Movies.. ; Under Favorites / Books: Specific Book group reviews that are spread out on a weekly schedule. “How then shall we live” is a catchall such as current events or news commentary.
- And please email me with any ideas you have for future enhancements / improvements.
- We could use brothers to actively post updates by category, or cover primarily days of the week in the “Semikkah7” plan. We build each other up by deploying our God given gifts within the community ; that is the process for the impregnable remnant Church amidst this evil world!
