02/27/2023 – Day 365 // A final note for our 2nd complete cycle on this blog: “The road goes on forever and the party never ends!” (So, there is no final note) // Upcoming: Lenten 21 day fellowship on the entire Gospel of John starting March 17th. Join us!

Look for my note on our 2nd Lenten devotional series: Reading, prayer and fellowship on the Gospel of John, one chapter each day , starting with St. Patrick’s Day on March 17th, and running to the final chapter #21 on Maundy Thursday, April 6th of Holy Week for the western church.

If you have any questions at all on the blog, be it this upcoming study or anything else for that matter, you can contact me at my administrator email address: Semikkah7@protonmail.com. Or, my cellphone #, for those of you that have it. (Note – I could very well get logon requests globally from souls I haven’t even met yet. I am not giving up! I am still pleasantly surprised at folks that tell me they have been reading the blog without posting.

One key note: We started from a five brother work lunch bible study. We describe it as a men’s bible study. We welcome women with one precondition: If they are married or engaged, their husband must approve of their participation, be it read or write access. The five of us had one mutually esteemed single future Christian lady, in her 7th decade of life, as I am, that we had all hoped would join us. I continue to pray for her, even though we haven’t talked since I retired. Praise to my indwelling Holy Spirit! (what are the odds that I would remember that on my own?)

Since we have already been through the 1st cycle of the Gospel of John, one chapter a day, I have decided that we will have all our group fellowship discussion from the original post for that particular chapter. That means the only people who can participate are those that are logged on. Why? Because the posts are “comments” and comments can only be seen by logged on members. So, if you are interested, please send me a request at Semikkah7@protonmail.com for an account and initial password. Join us!

For last year’s study, we did not have a post for the first five chapters. So, I will be posting those prior to our start date on March 17th. Check in every now and then, we have many categories outside of our primary foundational bible study categories. There is no direction in life we can turn to that our Lord doesn’t speak to.

The benefits of this structure: Years from now, members will be able to start their own Lenten study, with the benefit of all previous posts for each chapter, which critically begin with an introduction from our first cycle. Even if “two are gathered in my name.” Also, early or late posts outside of the period are most welcome, for they will benefit fellow souls that come behind you.

The Achilles heel in this structure: Comments do not appear in the all chronological postings. So, to check for new postings: 1). Use the filter tool , selecting the subcategory – “Gospel of John – 21 chapters in 21 days.; 2) Hit the filter button and select on the chapter you are looking for. 2). Click on view; 3) A comment field will appear at the bottom for your posting and subsequent viewing by others.

Questions? – Just give me a shout out on my email or through my cellphone.

Note : I am filing this in our “getting started” folder. So, a member can use that category on the filter key to pull up user information and tips.

Always connected by His grace and through prayer!; Soli Deo Gloria!

Your brother in Christ,

Jimmy
