From Matthew Henry’s commentary: “Jesus Christ saves his people from their sins (Matthew 1:21), redeems them from all iniquity (Titus 2:14) and turns away ungodliness from Jacob (Romans 11:26). Redemption from sins includes redemption from all other evils, and therefore is a pleteous redemption.”
