03/27/2022 – Day 028 – Romans 7 & 8: 8:13-14 theme – …

Theme verse – 8:13-14: “For if you live according to the sinful nature, you will die; but if by the Spirit yo put to death the misdeeds of the body, you will live, because those who are led by the Spirit of God, are sons of God.”

So, in the “Future Glory” section: 8:15: “I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us.”

And as I have shared with Christian brothers numerous ocassions over the apparent paradoxical question (tug of war) between the “Sovereignty of God” and “man’s free will” , I will choose “Sovereignty of God” every single time! Saved or not, we all face a judgment, so I recognize I am taking a risk, that being: “I am giving God too much of the credit!”:

Romans: 8: 29 : “For those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the like ness of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many borhters. And those he predestined , he also justified, those he justified, he also glorified.” (Let scripture testify to scripture! This is just one verse which is naturally inter-connected and confirming)

I reviewed my previous post on this same reading, Day # 028, dated 06/29/2020. I encourage y’all to review and comment. For those of you that are logged on, you can quicly search “Day 028” and it will immediately pull up. If you are read only, I believe you would have to toggle back screen to screen. WIth over 1,000+ posts on this blog, count me as a sceptic, but I don’t think anyone is going to do that. Again, if you need an account login: Contact me at Semikhah7@protonmail.com. Again notice the difference in spelling with our website: “Semikkah7.com” . How did that happen? I would just say: “I am a mess, but I am a redeemed mess!” That’s my story and I’m sticking to it!

So, for today, as a new post from that 06/29/2020, I will only add a small section of the same Halley’s Bible Handbook that grabbed my heart, another sublime commentary to Romans Chapter 8, a much often commented “favorite chapter in the entire Bible!”:

“Our natural life, so to speak, is Impregnated by the Spirit of God, and a Baby Spirit, a Divine Nature, is born within us, in a manner somewhat similar to that in which our physical life, our Adam Nature, was started by our parents.

Our Natural Life from Adam. A New Divine Life from Christ. This is a Reality within ourselves. We may not feel it, nor be conscious of it. But it is there. We accept it as a matter of Faith. There is within ourselves, beyond the realm of our Conscious Knowledge, a Divine Life, the child of God’s Spirit, under His loving care, working in stillness, ever unwearied, never exhausted, to gain control of our Whole Being, and Transform us into the Image of God. This is the Life that will blossom into Immortal Glory in the day of Resurrection.

Our Obligation to the Spirit (12 – 17). Walking after teh Spirit means that, while depending wholly and implicitly on Christ for our Salvation, we will struggle to the utmost to Live up to His Law.” (reference – page # 588)

Soli Deo Gloria!

Your brother in Christ,

Jimmy
