How is that? All other horrific examples we can come up with involve tyrant regimes focused on power in this world. Whereas these Shite madmen believe that the 12th Iman is going to come back, with his “assistant” (sick) Jesus to wipe out all the evil , replacing it with a “righteous” kingdom here on earth. Their visions of heaven include such evil lunacy as getting 70 virgins subject to them personally, on their every beck and call, so to speak. The Devil is not a Shiite, but he is using these madmen in his futile quest against the LORD, our God. He has them by the tail. So, they yearn for an apocalyptic world scenario, they fight to bring it ever closer in eager anticipation.

What do I know? But my opinion from what I do know; Trump missed an opportunity to “finish” it quickly and efficiently by not electing to send in the crack Kurdish fighting force to wipe out the IRG (Iranian Revolutionary Guard). Once the IRG is removed, the people will take care of removing the unarmed mullahs, madmen clerics.
