Men ought always to pray, and not to faint. Luke 18:1
Which of you shall have a friend, and shall go unto him at midnight, and say unto him, Friend, lend me three loaves; for a friend of mine in his journey is come to me, and I have nothing to set before him? And he from within shall answer and say, Trouble me not: the door is now shut, and my children are with me in bed; I cannot rise and give thee. I say unto you, Though he will not rise and give him, because he is his friend, yet because of his importunity he will rise and give him as many as he needeth. Luke 11:5-8
Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints. Eph. 6:18
I will not let thee go, except thou bless me. As a prince hast thou power with God and with men. Gen. 32:26, 28
Continue in prayer, and watch in the same with thanksgiving. Col. 4:2
[Jesus] went out into a mountain to pray, and continued all night in prayer to God. Luke 6:12

Comment – re: Luke 11: 5-8 – This is a case where the KJV is harder for me to understand. Let’s look at the entire section for context anyway:
“Keep Asking, Searching, Knocking”, so I am adding verses 9: through 12 for context:
“So, I say to you, keep asking, and it will be given to you. Keep knocking, and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and the one who searched finds, and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened. What father among you, if his son asks for a fish, will give him a snake instead of a fish? Or if he asks for an egg, will give him a scorpion? If you then, who are evil know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will the Heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who to those who ask Him?”
At our first Saturday men’s prayer breakfast, we get a copy of our church’s prayer list with roughly 200 hundred lines on it, and multiple categories. One of those categories: “Those in need of accepting Christ as their Savior”. So indeed!, keep praying!
Can I pray for 900 souls a month? What if I pray for 30 souls each day?
“Do we really believe what we say we believe is really true?’ Send me a request to my administrator email: www.semikhah7.com , or for those of you that have my personal email, send it there, as I check it more often. I will send (snail mail) you around 17 verses that all resound on the theme of : “Keep Asking, Searching, Knocking.” I did not have some of the prayer verses in this post on my list.
Needless to say, the Lord keeps all His promises: Consider all the fulfilled prophecies to the covenant people of Israel (*), with a span of thousands of years between promise and fulfillment, in many cases. God does not lie, end of story!
(*) – btw – “Israel” includes Gentile believers as well.
If a prayer is answered, I keep that prayer line active for at least awhile to sing His praises! So with regard to how we have been blessed by our local church, I point once again to Luke 12:48: “For unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall be much required.” Therefore, I submit, fear of the Lord is a blessing as well!
